Let me research that for you.
Chances are, legal research isn’t your favourite. Good thing it’s mine.
Hi, I’m Holly.
I’m a law librarian with two decades of substantive and procedural research experience across all areas of the law. I’ve supported many different client groups, from self-represented litigants to the judiciary and I’m deeply passionate about providing clients with the information needed to make informed, empowered decisions.
Find me on LinkedIn to discover more about how I can add value to your practice.

| What is your rate?
My competitive hourly rate has been set to support the highest and best use of your expertise. Once we connect and determine scope, deliverables and timeline, you’ll get an estimate and upon approval, I’ll take it from there. If the scope shifts part-way, no problem. We can revisit and adjust accordingly.
| How quickly can you turn my request around?
More lead time is always better, though I well understand the unpredictability of a busy practice. If you need something on a rush basis, I got you. We’ll work something out.
| Who do you work with?
Solo practitioners and lawyers in small to mid-sized firms, anywhere across Canada. If I don’t have ready access to jurisdiction-specific resources, I can source out a library / librarian who does.
| What about conflicts?
If we run into the rare situation where I can’t complete your request due to a conflict, I’ll let you know right away and refer you elsewhere. I have CRM software to help with checks.
| Are you a lawyer?
Nope! As a librarian with 20 years of legal research in practice, I’m an expert in finding supporting authorities, gathering resources and curating impactful deliverables. I do not draft opinions or provide advice.
| What the heck does 9twelve mean?
I have two wonderful kiddos and they’re a constant source of inspiration in the forms of resilience, hard work + kitchen dance parties (to name a few). 9twelve represents their respective birth years.

In the spirit of respect, reciprocity and truth, I honour and acknowledge Moh’kinsstis, and the traditional Treaty 7 territory and oral practices of the Blackfoot confederacy: Siksika, Kainai, Piikani, as well as the Iyarhe Nakoda and Tsuut’ina nations. I acknowledge that this territory is home to the Métis Nation of Alberta, Region 3 within the historical Northwest Métis homeland. Finally, I acknowledge all Nations – Indigenous and non – who live, work and play on this land, and who honour and celebrate this territory (Source: Calgary Foundation).
